FAQ

Do I need an internet connection?

Dictionaries, grammar materials and speech models are bundled with the app, so lookups, word books, study, review and pronunciation all work offline. Only account sign-in and cloud sync need a network connection.

Why is the app size so large?

So the app works fully on slow or no network, dictionaries, grammar and speech models all ship inside the installer — nothing else needs downloading after install. We will keep optimising the package size.

Which languages are supported?

Dictionary and grammar content covers Chinese, English and Russian; the app interface supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English and Русский.

How do I report a content error?

Submit it in the app under Settings → Help & feedback → Content corrections and we will check it promptly, or contact us by email at the bottom of this page.

Is my learning progress synced to the cloud?

Learning data is stored on your device by default. Once you sign in it is backed up to the cloud automatically, so you can restore it after switching devices or reinstalling. The mainland China version supports WeChat sign-in; other versions support email sign-in.
